The Executive Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI) will host a High-Level Roundtable Policy Dialogue on “The Evolving AI Governance Landscape: Striking a Balance between Policy, Progress and Practical Application” on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at OAS Headquarters in Washington, D.C. This Dialogue will provide a space to explore the future of AI in the Americas through the lens of policy, innovation and real-world impact. Panelists will share insights on current and emerging policy frameworks and institutional strategies to guide the effective deployment and practical application of AI technologies. Discussions will highlight opportunities to accelerate technological progress, foster uses of AI that deliver benefits across sectors, and promote effective public-private collaboration, while ensuring sound policy approaches. By emphasizing practical applications and measurable outcomes, the roundtable aims to generate actionable recommendations to enhance competitiveness, strengthen regional cooperation, and ensure AI technologies serve the public good.
