Strategic Artificial Intelligence Leadership (SAIL) Program

The Department of Economic Development of the OAS Executive Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI), in collaboration with the University of California, Riverside (UCR), delivered SAIL – Level 1: AI Strategy and Leadership, a virtual executive program for government authorities, legislators, policymakers, senior public officials, and institutional leaders from OAS Member States. Part of the 2025–2027 Work Plan of the Inter-American Committee on Science and Technology (COMCYT), the program ran from September 3 to 29, 2026, in eight virtual sessions (15 hours), covering AI fundamentals, governance, public-sector applications, institutional readiness, and strategic decision-making for the responsible integration of AI.
