Ministers and High Authorities on Science and Technology will attend a forum for dialogue on the role that science, technology and innovation play in the development of the Americas, and will establish priorities for the next Ministerial Cycle 2022-2024. The Meeting will be chaired by the Government of Jamaica under the topic “Harnessing the Power of Transformative Science and Technologies to Drive our Communities Forward.”
The sessions will focus on 5 key priority areas approved by COMCYT:
• Science and Technology to Build Resiliency in the framework of Sustainable Development;
• Youth: Improving Skills and Readiness for Industry 4.0;
• Science, Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship to promote the inclusion of women
and girls and other populations in vulnerable situations;
• Effective public-private-academia collaboration to enhance competitiveness and quality of life;
• Technology Foresight as Input for Public Policy Decisions.
The virtual event will have a duration of two days separated by a lunch break.
