Assistant Professor at Northeastern University at Khoury College of Computer Sciences, where she directs the Civic A.I. Laboratory, she has experience working at the University of Washington (UW) in the Human Centered Design and Engineering Department, Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) at the Institute for Human-Computer Interaction. She too, she currently co-directs the Laboratory of Civic Innovation at UNAM and opened the area of Interaction between Computers and People at West Virginia University. She has a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), a master's degree and a doctorate in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Bárbara. Previously, Saiph was a technology worker at Intel Labs and Microsoft Bing, as well as a mass researcher at Stanford.
